Here is a video shot by Chris Lain from Pinnacle Tattoo.  It is from Pinnacle Tattoo’s Dia De Los Muertos Show at House of Rock on November 1, 2008.  As you will see, it is Allen’s band, Hobo, playing a cover of Beck’s Sissyneck.  It was a fun time.  And, while you’re watching, check out the dancers in the front!

I did steal this directly from Jenn’s blog, even the title. But, it was too cool not to share with other people.    Thanks Jenn!  You can spell whatever you want at Spell With Flickr and, they will spell it out with pictures.  How cool is that?

Zombie Prom Monday, October 20, 2008

So, as some of you may know, Allen and I were in a Zombie Prom commercial for the upcoming Prom at House of Rock.  It is a youtube video for anyone’s entertainment.  SO, I am able to link to it from here.  We had never dressed like zombies before so, this was a new experience for us.  Allen did the music for the commercial on his theremin.  He will also be playing the theremin at the prom.  To find out what a theremin is, click here. ANYWAY, without further ado, the commercial…

So, Allen and I were driving home from a nice Sunday brunch at Catfish Charlie’s (Who knew gumbo and fried shrimp make such a good breakfast?) when we passed this church with this sign. Do you think they even realize? Allen and I both had a really good laugh over it.

I’m a Star! Thursday, July 31, 2008

You are The Star

Hope, expectation, Bright promises.

The Star is one of the great cards of faith, dreams realised

The Star is a card that looks to the future. It does not predict any immediate or powerful change, but it does predict hope and healing. This card suggests clarity of vision, spiritual insight. And, most importantly, that unexpected help will be coming, with water to quench your thirst, with a guiding light to the future. They might say you’re a dreamer, but you’re not the only one.

What Tarot Card are You?
Take the Test to Find Out.

Hobo Live in Black & White Wednesday, July 9, 2008

Here is a video of Allen’s band, Hobo, performing at House of Rock July 7. Someone made this nifty video and posted it on youtube for everyone’s convenience. There are other videos of his band on youtube as well. The easiest way to find them is to do a search for “Hobo House of Rock” because that is where it seems most of the recordings take place for some reason.

Wall-E

Filed under: Family,Fred,Funny,General,Interesting...,Jaxon,Kids,Me,Zane — MidasWhale @ 2:13 pm

Wall-e was the most adorable cartoon character ever.  The whole movie was great.  It had a great message that I will not even hint at for those of you who haven’t seen it yet.  It led to a nice discussion after the movie.  The pre-cartoon cartoon, that Pixar always throws in, was hilarious.  I was laughing so hard.  I love magic and bunny rabbits (that I do not have to take care of).  I think every film should have a short cartoon at the beginning.  At least, any film I go see.  We knew Jaxon loved it because he didn’t have to go to the bathroom even once while it was on.  Whenever he is bored, he decides an expedition to the bathroom will cure him of the boredom.  Anyway, so if you haven’t seen this movie, go see it.  I recommend it.
