So, this is the film my brilliant and funny 12 year old entered in a local film contest. It was the first film he has ever done. He did pretty much everything by himself, except Allen did what little editing was needed and recorded the music. Yep. Everything else was all Zane. He didn’t win any awards but, there is always next year and the year after and the year after and the year after….
So, I was talking to a friend about fishing. I like to fish. And, I said how I would love to go fishing for blue marlin. Then, my friend told me about a video he saw online with a guy jumping out of a helicopter, grabbing a marlin and wrestling with it in the water before letting it go. Needless to say, I thought he was pulling my leg. But, I eventually looked it up and, this is the video I found.
No, I do not want to do it this way.
Here is a video shot by Chris Lain from Pinnacle Tattoo. It is from Pinnacle Tattoo’s Dia De Los Muertos Show at House of Rock on November 1, 2008. As you will see, it is Allen’s band, Hobo, playing a cover of Beck’s Sissyneck. It was a fun time. And, while you’re watching, check out the dancers in the front!

There are other videos of his band on youtube as well. The easiest way to find them is to do a search for “Hobo House of Rock” because that is where it seems most of the recordings take place for some reason.

Is it just me or do these guys seem like they are having WAY too much fun in prison. These were all from a prison in the Philippines. There are lots more so, if you like these, check out youtube. The best one’s are at guy named bryonfgarcia. So, check them out.
Well, they finally picked a name, Hobo. They had their first and second gig. And, they lost their drummer. So, no telling what is going to happen. They did have two other gigs lined up for sure. I am not sure what is going to happen with that. I assume the show will go on. Here is part of their first performance in an itty-bitty corner of an itty-bitty bar in South Texas. It is the ever fun, Alkeehol Molly. I recorded it with my digital camera which is NOT a video camera so…well, you’ll see. If you missed the show, well too bad, maybe next time.
Well, last weekend was the official start to deer season. I thought this video was appropriate for that occasion. Enjoy.
