Finding Nemo has forever screwed up the joy of bubbles. Every time I start to enjoy the wonderful art of making bubbles, I think of that crazy fish with the treasure chest. (sigh) Oh well, what can you do? I guess we are all a little crazy at times. No need to deny it.
Jaxon had a lot of fun at his birthday party. Thank you to everyone who came out. He was ready to go home the next day and play with all of his toys, after going swimming, of course. There were a few more people than I expected but, I think we coped well enough. Here is a picture I took of the party. Zane saw me about to take a picture and decided to ham it up for the camera. However, it TOTALLY fit how I felt the party was going it was too funny to delete. And, now I have everyone to share it with.

This is Jaxon PLEADING to open his toys after everyone had left and they had gone swimming again.
Here is a picture of his birthday cake. He said, “It was SO delicious.” He wanted a strawberry cake but they didn’t have that so, he got one with strawberry filling. It was quite yummy.
Before we left we had to make sure we made time to stop by the arcade.
He just came in and told me it was the best day ever. Aw.

This is a spider Allen discovered last night making a web in our back yard. We took a ton of pictures trying to get the perfect one. I have looked through all types of spider websites and can’t find what it is yet. I will keep looking. It was maybe around 2 inches or so, with the legs. It was huge. It was the fattest spider I have seen in a long time that wasn’t in a zoo or behind glass somewhere. I think it is a type of orb-weaver spider but, I don’t know what kind. If you know, let me know. This morning, the spider was gone and so was his web. So, if Allen hadn’t accidentally seen it in the dark, we wouldn’t have even known it was there. It is not very gratifying to know my yard can support the appetite of a spider that large. Oh well. Check out how the design on the back looks like a skull! I thought that was really cool.
This is a picture I took at the Art Center this past weekend where Allen’s band was playing. It had rained the day before after they had started this chalk art. I did not get a picture of the finished product. But, I think you can see how cool it was from the pictures.
These pictures were taken Easter Sunday at Pop’s house. There was a tree in the back with a branch just perfect for climbing, I thought. Zane thought so also. However, he needed a little help to get up there (three people). Then, when he got up there, he was so startled by the height, he wouldn’t move around. Kaitlyn had no problems moving around and Danielle climbed the other tree in HEELS! It was fun, and funny.
Jaxon’s birthday is coming up real soon. So, I asked him what he wanted for his birthday. He went through the usual list of stuff including (but not limited to) Transformers and the always evolving Ben 10 watch. However, he said he wanted a doll of his brother that he could stick pins into. Zane said, “Like a voodoo doll?” To which Jaxon said, “Yeah, a doodoo doll.” We, of course, corrected him (after laughing) and told him he couldn’t have a voodoo doll of his brother because that wouldn’t be nice. The kid is 4 and wanting a voodoo doll for his fifth birthday?!?!?!??? What a weirdo.
I so really want something to say. I searched through quotes and have been searching through old photographs in order to share something entertaining with you. But, I’ve got nothing. So, I will just ramble for a little bit and hope it all makes sense. Friday is my last day of work. Then, I will concentrate on being a stay-at-home, homeschooling mom. It is a new adventure for me that I am really looking forward to. Allen will be working a little more but, that is okay with me, and him. I have already told Zane the schooling aspect is going to be a little more structured starting next week. He never really knows what to expect from me when it comes to that. I really like being able to say, “This is what you need to know, I’ll quiz you at the end of the week.” I need to start homeschooling Jaxon a little more than I am right now. He is super smart and wants to do more than he is doing now. Allen’s band, Hobo, is playing Friday night at the House of Rock along with a bunch of other bands. I know it is going to be fun and am SO looking forward to it. Well, I guess that is all the ramblings I have for now. I will put more pictures and stuff on here when I get a chance.
