Okay, so, some of you may know I really like the Addams Family movies and I LOVE cartoons.  Did you know The Addams Family started out as a cartoon published in the New Yorker?  Their creator, Charles Addams, drew not just the Addams Family but other cartoons as well.  You should check out their website at http://charlesaddams.com/.  It is the official website for “The Tee & Charles Addams foundation dedicated to advancing the artistic achievement of American cartoonist, Charles Addams (1912-1988).”  It has a ton of information on there.  And, really, who doesn’t want to take the Addams Family’s credo “Sic gorgiamus allos subjectatos nunc” or “We gladly feast on those who would subdue us” and make it their own.  You know, I know you have no idea if I am serious about the credo or not.  hahahahahaha HA (Yeah, that was an evil laugh.)

I haven’t trusted polls since I read that 62% of women had affairs during their lunch hour. I’ve never met a woman in my life who would give up lunch for sex.

So, the other day as Allen and I were browsing the never-ending wonders of Wal-Mart, when Allen spied this interesting bag of Doritos.  Intriguing.  So, yes, I had to try them.  It doesn’t say what flavor it is on the outside.  Well, it says, “this is the X-13D Flavor Experiment.  Objective: Taste and name DORITOS flavor X-13D.  “  Then, it goes on to tell you what website to go to or what number to text to on your cell phone.  THEN, it says, “Tasting notes:  All-American Classic”  Yeah, so, you KNOW I am going to try it.  Well, what do you think it tasted like?  That’s right…cheeseburger.  It was kind of oddly good.  I do not think I would have bought a bag of cheeseburger flavored Doritos but, the generic black , white and grey bag with the cool sounding name of X-13D was right up my alley.  So, if you see them, you might try them.  Zane did not like them but, me, Jaxon and Momo liked them just fine.

I occasionally watch Scrubs.  It’s funny every now and again.  There is one episode where a patient has something wrong with her where she hears everything in song. So, the whole episode is a musical. It is one of my favorite episodes. This is a song with best friends, Turk and J.D.  This song made me laugh so incredibly hard.  That’s why I’m bringin’ it to you.

Zane’s Teacher Friday, May 25, 2007

Zane’s teacher, Mrs. Stuever, made and gave all the kids a cd with a slideshow of all the stuff the class did over the year.  She put music to it and everything.  I think the whole thing is about 25 minutes long.  I was totally impressed with it all.  THAT’S what kind of great teacher he had this past year.  I will not be putting this up on here but, if you want to see it, contact Zane.  I am sure he will be more than happy to show it to you.

Every year around a patriotic holiday, I see flags pop up everywhere.  Sometimes, they are just there over the holiday weekend, sometimes longer.  Maybe it was my intense Girl Scout training by two of the best Girl Scout leaders EVER but, I have a huge problem with the way people show off their flags.  I don’t think they had good Girl Scout leaders.  So, if you want to renew, remember or learn about what to do and how to treat your American flag this Memorial day weekend, go to this link:  http://www.ushistory.org/betsy/flagetiq.html.  Your welcome.

It’s finally the end of school!  Yesterday, Zane’s school had their award’s ceremony.  He got trophies for perfect attendance and  honor roll.  He got numerous certificates including one for participating in the school’s safety patrol program.  Zane was very pleased Allen was able to attend the ceremony.  I, however, was unable to get away from work.  [sigh] Oh well.

In our backyard, we have a tree halfway hallowed out by woodpeckers.  It has started to fall over onto the line that brings power to the house.  We should cut it down but, it is difficult to do so when there is a woodpecker family living in it.  Here is a picture of one of them.  I am pretty sure this is the female.  The male’s head is quite a bit redder.

Here is Allen doing yet another great song.  It isn’t the best quality video but, it is still a great song.  He also has one on youtube about fried chicken.  If you want to see and hear that one, go to youtube.com and search for midaswhale.  I will try to put any new songs up here for everyone.  Anyway, without further delay…
